Saddleback Butte State Park
Saddleback Butte's terrain is very open, and mostly nice fast running. The lowest areas are sandy soil and have some short grasses growing in them. The primary vegetation is widely spaced Chamise and Joshua Trees. I saw two Cholla cactus the entire day. The west and north sides of the butte are less rocky and a little bit nicer running. The east side of the butte has less vegetation and is rockier, but below the steep slopes is still quite runnable.
